Celebrating Life’s Greatest Milestones Across Dawson
Every life is a story of achievements, love, and resilience, and some moments deserve to be celebrated in a way that lasts a lifetime. From 100th birthdays to 70th wedding anniversaries, these milestones are testaments to dedication, commitment, and the remarkable journey of a lifetime.
Do you know someone in Dawson approaching a milestone? Now is the perfect time to honour them with a truly special gesture, an official congratulatory message from His Majesty the King, the Governor-General, or the Prime Minister of Australia.
Federal Member for Dawson, Andrew Willcox MP, says one of the greatest privileges of his role is celebrating the remarkable life milestones of people right across the electorate, moments that reflect a lifetime of love, commitment, resilience, and contribution to the community.
“From golden wedding anniversaries to 100th birthdays, these milestones tell the story of Dawson,” Mr Willcox said.
“They are reminders of enduring partnerships, strong families, and lives well lived.”
Mr Willcox is encouraging families across Dawson to apply for official congratulatory messages for eligible milestones, which can be issued on behalf of His Majesty the King, the Governor-General of Australia, or the Prime Minister of Australia.
“Delivering these messages is one of the most rewarding parts of my job,” Mr Willcox said.
“I get to meet extraordinary people and share in moments that truly warm the heart, and I never take that privilege lightly.”
Eligible milestones include:
Messages from His Majesty the King
60th, 65th, and 70th wedding anniversaries, and every year thereafter
100th and 105th birthdays, and every year thereafter
Messages from the Governor-General
50th wedding anniversary, and every year thereafter
100th birthday, and every year thereafter
Messages from the Prime Minister

Registered voters in the Dawson electorate will automatically be sent congratulatory cards on key milestone birthdays.
Mr Willcox noted that applications should be made well in advance, particularly for messages from His Majesty the King, which cannot be issued for milestones that occurred more than six months ago.
