DAWSON MP AIMS TO SHOWCASE REGION IN NEW COMPETITION

Hard-working Federal Member for Dawson, Andrew Willcox, has today announced the beginning of the “Days Around Dawson” photo competition, an initiative he says will “showcase the many incredible areas, places to visit, and sights to see around Dawson.”

Accepting submissions until 18th August 2023, the Dawson MP is inviting residents to take part in Days Around Dawson, and capture their favourite locations for a chance to be featured on the MP’s annual Christmas Card, his Facebook Cover Photo, and on his social media page.

“From the stunning Whitsunday Islands to the iconic Burdekin Bridge, there is no shortage of postcard locations in Dawson,” Mr. Willcox said.

“We live in the best part of the country, and everyone in our community deserves to see just how amazing our region truly is.

“If you’re strolling down one of our incredible beaches, or driving through one of our many small towns, take a pic and submit it through my website!

“Once the competition closes, I’ll have the difficult job of deciding a winner.”

The Federal Member for Dawson has also announced ‘honourable mentions’ will be showcased on his social media following the closure of the competition.

“There’s far too many incredible areas to simply showcase one, which is why honourable mentions will also be shared on my social media.

“We certainly live in a slice of paradise, and I look for every opportunity to show it.”
